As i said I've only read up the "Legends of Dune"...

As i said I've only read up the "Legends of Dune" trilogy, so I know that the thinking machines are out there during much of the story up to the conclusion, but my parents have read and discussed it...

Either that Sequel or the one before it, Children of Dune, show prime examples of preparing the way for a better world but not being there to enjoy it.

Though this becomes kind of dumbed down...

Also why I believe that Lelouch is dead is because of the cruelty he would show those (especially kallen) that would understand what had just occurred, and it was his final gift to the free world.
