Yeah, but I'm saying she didn't actually prove anything in her battle against Shikamaru. In her battle with Ten Ten she proved herself to be strong, but Shikamaru made her look like an idiot.

Yeah, but frankly, Temari nor Kankuro did anything that cool. So if the Sand wants to give them chuunin staus, they can, but I think in the scheme of things that doesn't hold too much water.

Um, I'm pretty sure they said that Shikamaru was the only one to become a Chuunin. And they even said that strength wasn't everything, which was why he got it.
