Hmmm.... I bet the filesize of the looped one could be reduced by simply getting rid of some extra frames. It would speed up the animation a bit, but it might just work without sacrificing a lot of quality. I don't have Photoshop CS or any other progam like that, though, so I couldn't test my theory.
