As if that'll ever happen lol.
Spoiler for AFTER Saga 2.5 : ~ Silver:
~AFTER Saga II Verse 5 : Knight without a Sword~
The Silver Wind, Isdera Saleen… the Sword of Zerstroritter… that is what I was called, that was what my life amounted to… as a knight of my entrusted life to that one person.
And I would gladly give up my life for it, and I did so. I had no regrets. My life, though filled with some regrets was meaningful. I had found a purpose, I had found happiness, and I lived it wholeheartedly as a knight.
But yet…
Reborn into foreign worlds and foreign times as a foreign existence, what is to become of us? Why are we alive? What are we? Questions like these filled our thoughts, and emotions…
Confusion, unawareness, lost… feelings and uncertainty swept across our hearts, uneasy, conflicted…
Not to mention a world where knights are seemingly extinct, and battles are no longer fought with the clash of each blade but with the blast of each trigger…
Is this a world that denies everything I had lived my life to be? As a warrior, as a knight, as myself?
Without my sword, without a battle, without what makes me myself…
But, I had promised my own heart and my own soul that I am…
My name is Isdera Saleen.
The one who chose to become the Sword of Zerstroritter.
This is the live and path I have chosen. And I will walk it to the end with no regrets.
Because I have not forgotten my pride as a knight.
AFTER Saga II : The Blessed Silver Knight of Gales… begin now.
~ Isdera ~
“All of you, you’ve traveled long these past few weeks without much rest. Take a well-deserved rest.”
Just as the General said that, he removed his thick cloaks as he proceeded to walk out of the room…
“Are you not going to rest as well…? General?”
“I’m fine. I still need to do some research, so you all…take your time. We’ll depart at 12 tonight.”
That being said, he left the room… while we who are supposed to protect him, are asked to rest ourselves, while he himself goes and adds extra burden, even when he’s the one who’s really been pushing himself these past 3 months…
He’s still as much as a fool as he was back in the past… General…
“Let him be, Isdera. Saga’s always been like that. Once he’s put his mind into things, no one can stop him.”
That is true… General Saga had always been one to do that…
“Still, it bothers me. These past months, we’ve been too dependant on the General. Everything we’re unaware of, he helps us… Our deficiencies with the culture, language, lifestyle…”
As expected, I can’t sit still and rest. It’s not like me…This is not the type of person I am.
“I’m going out.”
“Don’t go causing any trouble… We’ll be leaving tonight, and the last thing we need are a bunch of rednecks chasing us with staffs…Yawnn~~~ I’m going to sleep. Off the lights, will you?”
With that, Astra plopped himself on the bed, which was already 1/th occupied by Null and Wira, as all of them crumpled up to that one large bed…
Sighing, I went over as I covered them with the blanket… It was then I realized… something this soft, comfortable… This world… it feels too comfortably foreign to me…
As I switched the lights off…I went out of the room...
For the first time in my life since I could remember…I was walking amidst a huge crowd of people at the town center, without so much as a weapon to protect myself.
“So…this is what peace feels like…”
Having being born, bred and living a world of endless battles and bloodshed… this tranquility is strange. This was the purpose I’ve fought for, and yet… I don’t feel any attachment to it.
“Don’t you agree, Zul?”
… Silence fills my world, as the voice of the world outside my sphere of existence seems hollow…
“That’s right.. You’re no more around. Only the General’s Null…”
And then, night fell…
The 4 of us, assembled within the outskirts of the city… as Saga stood in the center of us, looking up, as he stared silently at the full moon… Pointing his arms towards the moon above, General then said…
“It is time.”
And, almost as if the moonlight was solely focused towards him, he shone brightly as a faux-wing form slowly materializes itself around him, like a pure wings of light…
“My special ability, Abgrund des Endes… allows me to create a dimensional rip in time-space itself, and create a spatial gateway to anywhere I visualize, so long as the visualization and coordination is vivid to its form and existence.”
As he continued to focus himself, slightly afloat now, as cracks start to appear around
“Of course, this power is very inconvenient from a practical sense. A wrong visualization will send you somewhere you don’t even know, and since it works in accordance to the angle and reflection of the moon, it can only be used when the moon aligns itself along with the 7th night of the 7th moon, which means it can only be used once a month. It was said that the 7th night of the 7th moon is one where the power invokes the origins of Belka’s Holy Empress, of when the beginning of all that is Belka truly began.”
Everything seems to be going along fine… but…
All of a sudden, an explosion can be heard from the city…Even with the darkness of the night, the flames of red which surge, the radiating heat, and the piling smoke that rises to the skies…
Saga quickly responded as he flew up high to the sky, around his sphere of light…as he looks at the confusion from above the sky…
“Monsters…and Sandendlosschrauben gigantisch types no less. They’re attacking the city center from below.”
Sand-worm types… So those monstrosities still exist in these time and age…
“Bad... I can’t leave this circle of light until the incantations are complete, and there’s still approximately at least another 30 minutes…”
“…I’ll go.”
As I proceeded to run towards the city center, Astra grabbed my hands, as his presence and emotions heightened greatly.
“Don’t bother. They aren’t associated with us after all… those of TSAB will eventually come and solve it.”
“…”
“Besides, do you think you have a chance to win, without so much as a sword?”
“…”
“We’re no longer knights, Isdera. Our past is long behind us now. There’s no need to be a fool.”
“…True…I may no longer be a knight...
But I have not forgotten my pride as one.”
With that being said, shaking off his hand, conjuring up some wind to my legs, I ran as quickly as I could to the city center…
“That fool…”
I didn't like this piece honestly. Felt very off, since I tried to pad up things to make it more coherent, yet more as I did so, more it felt bad. The next part hopefully should be better, since it's battle-centric.
ARGH! I want to get this over with and quickly get on with the present timeline!
