Spoiler for AFTER Saga III : Side Astra I:
~AFTER Saga III : Meeting and Reunion~
Astra, disguised as a TSAB personnel with his transformation magic, took his steps slowly, as he could not see, only feel…as he steps himself into a foreign place, alone…
Although it was irrational to ask that of him, he was the only one who could do it… a silent reconnaissance to locate the room for the world-transporters of the TSAB Central… For Isdera was incapable of actual transformation magic, his disguise is only those of a lowly TSAB clerk… while Wira was… well… not suited…
Astra sighed as he felt around, the location. Being blind, he could only gauge the sense of people, and roughly estimate the areas located in the maps based on scales… it used to be a piece of cake for him, but no longer being accustomed to doing so alongside the unfamiliarity of modern-maps sensory…he was having a little bit of a hard time…
As he stood outside a door…he thinks, he thought back to the TSAB-Central layout, as he recalls the teleportation segment being somewhere around where he is now…
“It should be here…I think.”
As he opened the door, there was an impending gasping sound... Silence only loomed shortly as the silence only worries Astra further, but he tried to remain calm as he sensed someone in front of him… His disguise should be perfect…breathing in smoothly, he said…”Er…Is anything wrong?”
Only to be answered with a giant chunk of metal hitting his head.
He didn’t know…that he stepped into the room next to the teleporter, the medical room…and stumbled onto Shamal changing into the medical uniform and coat…
A few moments later, he found himself lying on something soft, the patient’s bed as his head was being healed by a soothing aura, as someone’s arm held out towards his head…healing the bump on it…
“Who’s there?”
“A medical officer…well…going to be one anyway.”
“Wait, your voice… You’re the one who threw that…thing to me, didn’t you!”
Astra sat up from his bed as he was clearly agitated…someone like him…to think he actually got downed by such a trick. It made him unhappy. While Shamal too, was angry at his rebuttal, as if he didn’t learn his mistake, which he knows nothing of.
“What! You’re the one who’s at fault for walking here without so much of a knock when I was… wait, my voice? You…”
Shamal’s voice lowered as she neared her eyes to his face, realizing that his eyes were unfocused, almost like he’s…blind.
“Yes, I have sight problems. You’ve got a problem with that? And what was it that you were doing?”
“No..nothing, forget it. I was being too impulsive either, throwing that without so much of saying anything.”
Saying that as she looked away, feeling mildly embarrassed, playing with the sides of her hair, glad in her heart that the guy in front of her thankfully didn’t manage to see anything… Astra could only be more confused, not knowing what she was doing, as he sat there, further inquirying…” This is the medical room, right?”
“Yeah.”
Astra thought silently…So, it’s the room next-door instead.
“Well, I’ve got to go. Sorry about earlier.”
As Shamal moved away, her hand lightly brushed over Astra’s…as a combination of 2 feelings rushed over Astra, a sense of a woman’s soft touch and another, a feeling of cold steel from the rings she wore in her hand… it ignited a strange feeling inside him that was all too familiar, as instinctively, he grabbed her hands, and stopped her, without so much of a thought.
His mind was in a havoc, for he didn’t even know what the heck he was doing…as he just held her hand, as he felt a nostalgic feeling run through him, holding that small palm of hers… like he’s done it before…
“Eto…”
Snapping his thoughts back, he quickly let go as he apologizes… but before she left, he only asked her one thing…
“Have we ever met before this?”
“… That’s impossible.”
With those vague words, an answer of impossibility, she left the room, while Astra was left alone pondering…
“What’s with that?”
[I don’t know.]
“Wargh!”
Astra jumped back as he fell backwards from his bed, dropping face first on the floor… as he noticed something around his fingers… The ring device, Vorhang was all of a sudden, once again, around his fingers, just like the old days…
“How…?”
Spoiler for AFTER Saga III : Side Saga I:
~AFTER Saga III : Connection~
Stepping through the doors silently, his body lighted up, as he was suddenly afloat, within the realms surrounded by walls of infinite books,
“So…even throughout the ages, books remain ever the same…”
The lingering scent of old paper, the distinguishable smell of leather, and wood in the air, as the pores of his body resonates with the space of the sphere he’s floating upon…
Just as the Infinity Library reflects the age-old image of a library, it too is the pinnacle of data-information, as the space-time within the zone is an concentration of countless pathways to stored information…
As he stood around, slightly in trance…voices of an argument woke me up, as I quickly flew sideways, hiding myself from sight, as I peered slightly, and seeing a small boy, roughly around 10 in age… with noticeably toned light-brown hair and green eyes arguing with another boy through an intercom…
[Also, I want you to find the Chronicles of Judgment by this evening. I’m sending you its catalogue number now.]
“Wai..wait a minute. That’ll take all week. It’s impossible, you know that!”
[Do you have a problem?]
The arguments went on, as both came to a mutual agreement… as another small girl, wearing a white uniform then appeared by his side, as they talked cheerfully… A young couple? That was what Saga thought…
“Better not interrupt their privacy…”
As Saga flew away from the sight, something in their words that seemed further and further away as he slowly drifted away came clearly to his ears…
“Helped…Book…Darkness…Hayate-chan…”
A sudden shock… a resonating vibe… that name, a name he had never even heard of, yet something pained so clearly, clarity…
“What is this…?”
As he held out his hands towards a small terminal to support himself from falling…without realizing, without notice…his entire body and being disappeared, as if he was absorbed into the terminal database of the Infinity Library…
“Hmm?”
“Yuuno-kun? If you don’t hurry, won’t Signum-san and Fate-chan get mad?”
“Right.. coming…Strange… I thought I felt something wrong for a while there…
”
Spoiler for AFTER Saga III : Side Isdera:
~AFTER Saga III : Sight of Knight~
Wearing the tight-fitted uniform of a clerk stolen from the stashes, with his rough, messy hair combed backwards, giving himself a more refined look, Isdera uncomfortably walked around the TSAB Central, scouting the areas as he suppressed his already low magical presence and energy, as he’s fully concentrated… not allowing himself for any room for error…
His disguise can easily be seen through with a simple check, as Saga was afraid of risking too much hack-in and modification of TSAB’s personnel database, as he already did so once to allow infiltration into the base previously, and since he intends to do so 2 more times later for the information gathering and escape…we’re entrusted to be on our own.
Wira should be fine, since he’s hiding himself until we’re required to escape… but for Isdera, it is worrisome, because for each step he’s taking, he feels threatened…
To them, this place was like walking into a lion’s den…
Even felt just roughly, there was a strong presence of several extremely powerful mages there…some matching even those of Saga himself…
However, as he continued… he suddenly felt an unspeakable chill, as he quickly turned around and looked from where the presence emits itself…
The Practice Room…
Even though he shouldn’t enter that place, even though it might risk his identity being exposed…Isdera was compelled to enter. He needed to know. He needed to see for himself, what did he just feel.
It was beyond just a concentration of extremely powerful magical potential…there was something all too familiar. Every magical reaction he’s sensed prior to this was foreign to him, like a different kind of mage altogether to his kind, a mage knight of Belka…
But just now, he definitely felt an all-too-familiar feeling… Beyond just Belka, it was… something he recalls clearly. A feeling from his days past… like a burst of flames…
Forcefully repressing his magical energy to almost null, he silently entered the room, as he hears 2 women, one of which possessed great magical power herself with green hair sitting, talking as they looked at the segmented field on the screen in front them…the actual training area.
“Well, how do I say…they’re energetic kids, aren’t they?”
“That they are.”
Isdera hid by the side of the wall, stealthily observing the screen as it focused on several small girls fighting, one of which was wearing a dress of white with a staff, alongside a another young girl using a thunder scythe, being supported…
Strong…they were strong… way stronger than himself even at that young of an age…but even so, that wasn’t what he felt…Was he wrong?
As he was about to make his exit, the screen suddenly focused on another group.
[Hold up. We can do that too!]
The voice of a 3rd young girl, donned in…traditional Belkan royal knight-princess robe…but what shocked him wasn’t her, but the group standing behind her…
Eyes widened in shock, voices couldn’t even come out of his mouth, as he slightly staggered…
“Hmm?”
Lindy turned around as she looked behind her, only to see nothing…
“Is anything wrong, Lindy?” Leti asked.
“No…nothing…I thought I heard something…”
Isdera ran down the hallway, speeding up as he rushed past the group of clerks walking, as he stopped himself in the men’s toilet, where Wira was hiding himself…
“Huh…huh….huh…”
His breathing was rough, but it wasn’t from the running, but from what he saw…the shock, and sudden sight of it wasn’t something he remotely expected…Not at all…
“Any..zing wurong…Isdera?”
“I saw them… they’re…alive…”
“Whu?”
“The Knights of the Sky…the guardians of the Princess of the Night Sky…the Wolkenritter.”
Even though their armors were different, but the presence, the ability, everything about them… Without a question’s doubt, that was the Iron Count…Vita and the Blazing General…Signum… and Shamal…
Holding out the sealed form of Zulfiqar, in the shape of a small scissor pendant… his mind was in disarray as he thought back of his past, of his battles, of his death… The times of a past long gone of which he was fighting a war, where he would battle Signum, sword to sword, putting their lives and honor as knights on the line…
“So…we weren’t…the only…ones… I need to tell this to the General, and Astra.”
[Are you alright, Sir?]
“I’m…fine, Zul. Thanks.”
[Not of problem, Sir.]
Spoiler for AFTER Saga III : Side Saga II:
~AFTER Saga III : Painful Memories~
Meanwhile, inside the database of the Infinity Library…
“This is…”
Like sinking inside a sea of nothingness, a whole different dimension of context, information, a sea that engulfs everything… The domain of Infinity Library, the world of which everything is kept and stored from time immemorial…
Concentrating his thoughts, he asked for only one thing…
The Book of Darkness.
And as like a flood, everything there is on the Book of Darkness entered his mind, his spirit, his heart…everything.
More than he wanted to know.
A torrent of memories. Everything that happened. Over the years, from the beginning of the chaos, the deaths, the casualties, the pain, the aftermaths…until the end…
As the last seconds of the visual records played in front of his eyes… the last words he heard…
“I am the happiest magical tome in the whole world.”
End. Book of Darkness database…complete as of MC 065.
As his physical body reformed back in the Library…tears fell from his eyes, as he dropped down to his knees…he wanted to scream, he wanted to let out everything in his heart…but he preserved, as he knew….there was one thing left to confirm…
He must see for himself…
Yagami Hayate… the one who saved Tiara… the one who is truly chosen, and lived as the Meister of the Tome of the Night Sky.
Uminari City, Japan, 97th Non-Administrated World, aka Earth…
He must see her.
From the depths of his mental thoughts, he relayed his thoughts to Astra…
{ Astra…teleport all of us, to the teleporter room…now. }
Spoiler for AFTER Saga III : Side Astra II and FINAL:
~AFTER Saga III : The Blessed White Knight Guardian of Darker than Black~
Even though the original plan was to meet up at the rendezvous point before teleporting all at once… Astra shrugged as Saga asked for a change in plans so suddenly, demanding haste…
“Multiple teleportations… it’s usually not a problem, but without actual coordinates, it’s hard to grasp their actual location…and mistakes would end up teleporting the wrong people, and screw up this whole thing.”
[Processing for coordination, I can manage so with profession, Doctor.]
[And me too!]
“Null! What are you doing here? I thought you were with Saga?”
[He asked me to go help the others when he went inside the Library, so I came here instead….hehehehe….]
“What?”
[You missed out a lot, you know? Don’t you agree, Vor-chan?]
[It’s Vorhang. And from studies of human reactionary, Doctor probably did.]
“Huh?”
[Nothing.]
“Whatever…. Null, I’ll need your eyes to help coordinate the teleportation perimeters… I’ll leave it to you, alright?”
[HAI!]
“Unison…In.”
As Null unisoned with Astra, Astra’s illusionary form disappeared as his light-brown hair turned silver-white, and his brown robes turned black along with his blindfolds, and yet…despite his eyes being covered, he can actually perceive something, with Null becoming his eyes in a way…although it’s not clearly sight, he can make out human forms, and no longer just senses…
He can feel light for once...
Using his powers, he teleported everyone to there, as Isdera and Saga both shared a similar look of urgency…
“General…I have something I need to tell you… the Wolke-“
“I know. I know everything…”
“You…do?”
“Just moments ago… that is why I must go there…”
Saga used his powers once more as he hacked into the panels of the teleportation device, as he overrode its security and control perimeters…. Point set…
Uminari City, Japan… 97th Unadministrated World…
He needed to go there.
To see for himself.
Phew, that's done with.
Next chapter would be coughsagaxhayatecough
