Anyway, OVAs are probably the best way to keep the franchise suitably milked and keep LS fans happily sedated without having to suffer from withdrawal symptoms as the Haruhiists are suffering already.
Already from the anime series, LS's 4-koma style and "slice of life" theme has allowed the writers to adapt things freely at their own pace without being too constrained by the pace of the original by Yoshimizu.
