The classic argument against your point, is that she is also losing all the good memories she had with Lulu.
CC had survived this far, and she learned many valuable lessons along the way. To say she should throw all the memories away is to invalidate her existence all this time.
Was CC not a friend of Lulu's mother? Should she abandon the memory of their friendship as well?
