Guy friends don't usually give girl friends "plush toys". It just seems more like what a boyfriend or a crush would do. Though if you're really close, that should suffice. And no matter what he gets her, I'm sure she'll like it.

I actually wouldn't mind getting a gift card to itunes/starbucks/target or something. It would be useful. I don't think it's bad for a friend, though I agree it would be a terrible gift for a wife or actual girlfriend.
