Then again, in that logic, they might have well as removed the alchemist and... Hime... what's her name...... And take out Otohime and etc. for not having any relationship in the future plot too. Yet one of the more exciting(?) material of the volume in the novel has to be removed? As expected of the sense of the company that used a SE that resembled a level-up music.

I've not seen the original material, but sometimes excising or pruning can make the whole stronger, rather than weaker.
