This series sells well for a new manga and there are other manga that rank poorly and do not sell anything worth mentioning. Those are the ones getting canceled.

I find the current plot as interesting as the original episodic chapters. Actually, this is better since it balances the characters and the development far better.
Although I do laugh at those very same people you are referring to. =P
