I was a little annoyed that it took until the episode's halfway point to get to the summer festival, but I admit that there were some laughable moments on the way. Yui pulling out her cellphone pic of Azusa set the tone for the episode for me. I was especially geared up for Mio ogling the male bass player. The ending of the episode put a different spin on the manga's end and I was very pleased with it. Originally it was abrupt and on the depressing note but the anime changed it into something optimistic.
The slow going and use of still shots aside this was a great episode overall.

The bits on the bus reminded me about my experiences on riding charter buses. From crying babies to annoying passengers on their phones. What fun. The guy with the headphones seated in front of the girls had the right idea.
