Great episode with a lot of realistic influence, making it easy to connect with.

My only problem was with Kyousuke's over-the-top argument: granted, yelling does come quite easy when it concerns family arguments, but I felt like Kyousuke wasn't going anywhere and that the Kousaka father only agreed to let Kirino keep her hobby if only just to have Kyousuke shut up.

Judging from a lot of comments, it sounds like the Comiket event is taking place too soon in the anime adaptation: despite spoilers, just exactly what happens in between now and Comiket that's critical to the plot?
