I wondered why Simon wouldn't go after Yoko too, but I thought about it. Yoko was Kamina's girl, Simon isn't the guy who steals his brother's girl. She threw the ring back because it landed at her feet, she isn't just going to leave it lying on the floor. It's as Simon said, he is Simon the digger. He's being true to himself, he was always the more reserved, quiet guy to begin with not necessarily a big leader figure.
