Well I thought about it and I have a theory about how the purple works in case it's true. To use an example Eva states in episodes 1 when talking about keys "therefore the culprit knew the layout of the servant's room".
If this were in purple this would be how the idea works hypothetically. The way my theory goes is that the lie is not in what the person is saying, but how they know it. So if Eva were the culprit the lie would be that "A culprit who is someone else knows the layout to the servants room" when the truth is "Eva knows the layout of the servants room because she's the culprit".
In other words it would be an implied falsehood instead of a direct falsehood.
