Looking at the list of characters' he's played, it's no wonder I've never heard of the guy until now. Aside from one or two I have no idea what most of these series' or characters are.
Cell from DBZ is probably the only one I recognize the most, and when the one character I recognize the most from a list of roles is a character I thought was total douchebag, it doesn't really help.
And I've only been an anime fan for 3 years now so that may have something to do with it.
