But yeah, I'm not entirely sure about this episode either. If Satsuki suspected something wrong then I don't see why she didn't voice her concerns with Enishi before it happened. Frankly, her phoning him after the whole scam was brought to light makes it a bit of a piss-take to be honest.

It's implied she tried. That phone call that went unanswered? Probably her. And she tried to warn her mother, who refused to even pass on the message.
