Damn, that's a lot of people!
The remixed Go Go Maniac Overture is sweet! Want longer version!
Also, Aki Toyosaki with striped kneesocks...
GO! GO! MANIAC
They all seem to have a good time. Aki is absolutely beaming and Satomi appears to have a lot of fun behind the drum set. And it's not like she's just randomly hitting things either, I'm curious how much she can play.
Listen!!
Hey, there's a distinct lack of fake bass playing here
What's that in their ears? An ear plug/jewelry combination? Aki has at least as much energy as at the first concert, if that's possible. Those uniform could've maybe had some cute hats too...
Oh My Gitah!!
It's been a while since I watched the first concert, so I don't remember if the musicians were shown as much then as they are here during the performances (while still keeping Aki in frame, of course). I like it, since they certainly deserve it. Like the solo in the beginning. Aha, the socks and shoes they wore for the opening are the same they wear for the solo songs. That explains the non-uniform look from the knees down.
Seishun Vibration
Wait, two guitarists I can understand, but are there two musicians of
every instrument? Yoko keeps the zettai ryouiki and fingerless gloves from last year. I have no complaints whatsoever about that.
Drumming Shining My Life
Much better outfit compared to the last concert. I'm starting to wonder if they'll end up using the small stage in the middle of the crowd for something later on...
Diary wa Fortissimo
What's this? Only
one keyboardist? [song starts] Ahahahaha, did not expect that! (don't what to spoil what it is for anyone
) I'd say that Minako is second only to Aki when it comes to stage presence and making the dance moves look natural. Which I guess makes sense considering their experience from Sphere concerts.
Over the Starlight
Ayana is the first one who starts her performance at top of the stairs. Which - I didn't notice until now - are modeled after the stairs up the the club room, complete with tortoise and hare. Nice detail! Whoa, she looks a lot more comfortable on stage compared to last year. Good for her!
Talking segment
Chika Fujitou with glasses!
Also, wish I knew how to easily make a gif of Minako shaking her hips there... Haha, Satomi and Ayana wondering who the special guest is. Also, Ayana (presumably, with my not so good language skills) being worried that Azusa won't be in the movie if it takes place after graduation.
Uki Uki New! My Way
Madoka Yonezawa has probably the cutest outfit of them all. Also looked quite comfortable performing on stage.
Junjou Bomber!!
Okay, now I'm starting to wonder if the blue Jun glowsticks are are same as Mio's (and same with Azusa's and Madoka's green). Otherwise the crowd would have to carry and keep track of quite a lot of them.
Jump
Darn, no glasses anymore... But hey, a song that fits the stage design. I'm curious what her "day job" is, considering that she has no other VA credits outside of K-On, and can sing amazingly well.
Short voice-only drama segment that ends with the girls walking out (while still in character) to the center stage (yay, I was correct). Hey, Minako "only" carries her keytar, shouldn't she run around with her 16+ kg keyboard?
Ichigo Parfait ga Tomaranai
Performance is good, but unfortunately Aki can't be as energetic as I would've hoped while wearing the guitar.
Tokimeki Sugar
Apparently some technical problem causes Yoko to sing out of beat, so Aki quickly jumps in for a few lines. Now I want to hear a version where she sing the whole song... As with the previous concert, it's especially fun to see how the non-singing girls are goofing off in the background and interact with the crowd.
By the way, those jackets look a lot better than the fluffy yukatas. Although they do make me curious of what they're wearing underneath.
Gohan wa Okazu
Certainly a good song for crowd participation. Haha, ending it with "Gochisosama-deshita".
Maddy Candy & Love
Love how this is like a separate concert-within-the-concert, with Death Devil having their own backdrop, drumset, labeled amps, etc. So it's pretty much what a Death Devil concert would look like in-universe.
Live drama revolving around kana and kanji.
Two words: です♥でびる
Good thing Sawako didn't find out about that.
Also, Yuu Asakawa is about 43 different kinds of sexy
Pure Pure Heart (live)
While understandable, Yoko spending a majority of the time singing while look at her chords is pretty funny
The musical performance from all sound great.
U&I (live)
Uh-oh, Aki is sometimes sounding a bit like she's might breakdown already.
Tenshi ni Fureta yo!
Darn, did they have to show the episode stills on the screen... Satomi basically forces her way through her part of the second verse.
Fuwa Fuwa Time (live)
Sounds better than last year.
NO, Thank You!
To use a wrestling term, that's a big pop when the music starts.
Utauyo!! Miracle
No one did Yui's spinning dance!
Since they weren't actually playing the instruments at this point, whose idea was it for Aki to "play" guitar and use a microphone stand for this particular song?
Don't Say "Lazy"
Yoko doesn't attempt to pretend to play the bass much, and instead spends that time gazing seductively at the crowd. A fair trade if you ask me.
Sakuragaoka Girls' High School School Song
Well... that was unexpected. Nice idea with the lyrics projected on the screen, for the crowd to sing along. Yoko is starting to cry.
Come with Me!!
What I expected. Well, actually I expected some kind of loud explosion halfway through, like during Let's Go, but fortunately that never happened.
Extras:
Lots of backstage footage, parts of it filmed by the girls themselves on the day before the show (more behind the scenes footage should be filmed by Aki). But my favorite was the short 2009 footage of them getting to play their instruments for the first time, to practice for the two songs they later performed on the Radion! show.
Basically, it can be summed up with: [insert name here] gets her instrument: "Whoa!" [makes the instrument produce some kind of sound] *gasp*
