At the same time Tatsuya has a lot of haters too. I read bits and pieces of v3 (haven't got the time) and the first chapter of v4.

In volume 3. he apparently is selected as the CAD technician/adjuster for the school battles. Obviously, there were lots of jealous people.

In volume 4, we get to see his handy work as the female team utterly dominates through sheer CAD superiority (though equal skills).
