Was a freakin awesome movie. I do slightly agree with what Vallen was getting at with the scene in germany, but I'm willing to let it slide. Once scene in an otherwise awesome movie is OK. Besides other then the allusion to Hitler it was a pretty cool scene. Although I was expecting Loki to play the 'god' card rather then 'king'.

See, if the movie wants to compare Loki to Hitler, the old man would have said "There was ONE man like you".

But no. He said "There are always men like you". As in, Hitler wasn't special. He was famous, but wasn't special.

As for Loki playing the King part? Ironically, that was what Loki was arguing with Thor about. That despite Thor being a self-proclaimed protector of Earth, he had a hands-off attitude in letting humans rule themselves... Essentially what a god does. Loki chastises him for that, and claim that humans don't need a distant and uninvolved god, but a king who would give them orders.

In short, once again Loki is showing he is bizzaro Thor; having the same idea of, in theory, helping humans, but in a completely different way. I do think Loki actually believed in what he is saying; he does think of himself as worthy of being a benevolent ruler of Earth. But then, that's what all Tyrants think.

Loki thinks Earth needed a regime change. That we are better off once we are converted to a superior form of government. And that the invasion and the killing is worth it.
