My friend said that the chat enviornment in TERA used to be friendlier and more civil compared to WoW, which was a cesspool of nastiness and vitriol. You could ask an innocent question and get back a helpful reponse instead of a scrolling chatbox of 20 people trying to out troll the other. He said that it has become inreasingly worse since then and that the F2P status will only make it worse.
