What I didn't like about the game, it uses first person view and trying to outrun characters like Jack is a hassle, because you cannot see him, if you turn your back towards him, to try to powerwalk away. Other issue is you cannot judge your character's size, making it sometimes hard to squeeze through enemies lines. Unlike other standard first person games you cannot hit things with your bare hands. You have to switch to a close combat weapon, if you even have one, like knife or axe, or else you are kind of defenseless once your bullets run out, plus you cannot break boxes without using a weapon! So it takes a bit time to get used to, if you played a lot of first person games in the past.
Selfdefenese moves is limted to only block, no pushing away or last moment dodges. Of course you can try to side step, tap back or try to avoid high swings with crouching, but it weird in first person view, if your character moves like a chainsmoker.
Other bad things, it doesn't have any free game modes on release day. There is a free DLC "Not a hero" coming soon in spring 2017 staring
, but that is it. For all the other modes you have to cough up cash. I wouldn't be mad if the DLCs uses new maps and things, but the first wave of DLCs uses the same maps. These DLC should be free like in other RE games in the pass, but that is just my opinion.
The problem is the game itself is short, 4-10h max for first playthrough I would say, so having no other unlockable game mode kind of limits it replay value
Another thing, little evil girl is overused, and i think most people are now immume to it. Honestly I could not wait to kill her. She was more annoying than frightening
Any Good points? It is polished and visually it is decent. The sound is great and nicely utilised, like checking if you can hear enemies arround the corner.
Overall it is a solid game, but not for every resident evil fan
