Thought so. As I said, I've heard the phrase used a lot in romantic situations where it seemed to carry more meaning than just the literal. There was even one where a guy said that line to a girl and the girl pointed out that the moon wasn't out, at which I believe he said something about that not being what he meant or stumbling over himself at the situation.
