I don't remember if anything was said specifically about the Attack Titan, but I do know that from the beginning it was stated that Marley only got 7 out of 9 titans.
One of those 2 titans they never got is without a doubt the founding titan, the other one... I guess it is probably the attack titan, else they would have said something of them losing one of 7 in their possession for such a long time.
