If it makes you feel better though, I occasionally wish groups like Crunchyroll or companies like Amazon could release web versions of Macross movies (if Harmony Gold would bugger off) around roughly one month from its initial release so others in the world could then view it. After all, they did it for
Your Name and a bunch of other theatrical releases... and it's not like you'd view it for free; Crunchyroll requires premium membership for specific time frames and Amazon locks those movies behind Prime which requires monthly membership...
