Not entirely in that case. The event that has her in it showcased that she got her dark powers to take back her kingdom that was destroyed by monsters.

While they seem similar, it'd be different on a fundamental level as one willingly became a Dark Knight while the other didn't.
Plus, all Aigis media pump out original characters with a Sapphire rarity for each volume whether it's the manga, the two light novel series, or the guidebooks. She's a character that was established at the beginning, plus a plot point finally being answered, so she'd be the go to rather than Cornelia.
