The ending is ballsy.....if AIW truly is the end of the MCU. But we all know that it’s not since Avengers 4 is just around the corner. Hence, it’s hard to give compliments to AIW for all the gutsy turn of events in this movie. We all know that Avy4 will come and rectify most of the mess that Thanos caused especially now that we have the power of Time Stone and the likes. Most of the deaths don’t really impact me whatsoever emotionally anyway. This is not Marvel taking risks, this is Marvel still taking a generally safe route.

This was my problem with it.

If they had just killed off secondaries like Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and Mantis, it'd be fine. But it's like... come on. There's literally zero chance that they'd off Black Panther after how successful his movie was, and there's no way Sony would let them kill off Spiderman. And we already know there's going to be another Guardians of the Galaxy movie, so we know they aren't going to roll it with Rocket + an all new cast.

Really takes the impact away.

There were multiple points where Thanos could have been thwarted. Loki could have not given him the space stone (though this is the second most acceptable of the ones where people screwed up). Gamora was the real idiot. She was the only person who knew where the soul stone was, and knew she'd crack... so she goes right to him. She could've just killed herself or fled, but no she went right to him. And then gives it up for Nebula, even though Nebula didn't want her to and was used to torture. Wanda could've killed Vision way earlier and prevented the Time Stone from screwing their plans, but Cap of all people stopped her. I get the sentimentality, but Vision did properly call him out on his BS. And then Doctor Strange (the most acceptable, given he saw the future) just handed over the Time Stone.

So I guess what I'm saying is that Gamora did everything wrong. She's also the only one (other than maybe the Asgardians) who I think will actually stay dead because of this movie.
