Not that I read the manga, but just from what I saw, it was practically just a colored version of the manga, art-wise.

Anyways, I think it was a pretty good first episode. Nothing special, but it does look like a good solid Yuri anime so far. You even got the love triangle brewing. 
So yeah, looks like it can turn out to be a good Yuri anime.
