You only did 3 runs and you are already complaining, while a grain is actually quite valuable and needed on the long run? I'd have certainly prefer a grain than the usual merit or unit. After a few runs, you will have way too many units for what you should use them for, unless you recraft multiple weapons and key for whatever reasons.
