It hasn't fundamentally changed. They added some new jobs, made some changes to the skills existing jobs had, and implemented a bunch of QoL changes, but it won't feel all
that different. That said, the story is still quite good, and this new expansion especially. If nothing else, I'd recommend at least coming back to go through the MSQ, as it's worth doing even if you just treat it as a single-player game and ignore endgame entirely.
