Exactly. Given how much Kiyoka legitimately cares, it isn't like he wouldn't listen to them.

This whole situation has been enabled over glaringly bad decisions in episodes 4 and 5. And it irks me because they have established Kiyoka as somehow who is meticulous and does everything he can to ensure nothing goes wrong. It doesn't reflect well on Yurie either. Why leave Kiyoka alone when buying salt - there's no valid reason to, particularly if your #1 role is to care for Miyo when Kiyoka is at work. Kiyoka makes sure to check Miyo had the amulet and trusts what they say, only to find out they didn't? The guy may be sometimes cold and blunt, but he has compassion for those who are honest and deserve it.

It's these inconsistencies that really irk me. It's utterly prevalent in modern writing. Intentionally enabling something to go wrong with a sudden lapse in reason that makes no sense and had an option to remedy it is not good.
