Traum was certainly interesting. Enough so that I did just keep going with every chance I had to dive into the story . With FGO I really can't sit back for that long and wait to see what I'm getting into.

Did get a bit too sucked into going for Kriemhild, but that's foolishness for you. It'll happen sometimes .

This one is a bit messy since I didn't think to organize my thoughts before this point .

I enjoyed that cool chat with Roland and Astolfo regarding Mandricardo. Definitely a different personality from the one they knew of, but I like that Mandricardo was getting that kind of respect well after his heroic sacrifice. Such a big move that even legends like those two weren't sure they'd be able to make such a sacrifice on the spot.

On less keen news is the tension regarding Moriarty. That guy is dangerous and having him out to kill Holmes is both not surprising and scary since he's got the power to back it up! The older version of him was scary in his own right as an enemy in Shinjuku. But this version is downright menacing. And he seems to have everything under control. His mere presence has Holmes working his mind to try and figure things out and leaving him unable to see the bigger picture

And off to war with the Reinstatement Realm! Part of me figured they'd take advantage of the assassination (which both did and didn't work) to go after the Revenge side, but I suppose that'd be too easy for the main cast.

In some ways it's not a shock that they'd have the MC play the fake Charles role for this situation. Gacha has left my account in a better position to handle any attacks coming in XD. Plus male Ritsuka does pretty much look like young Charlemagne. And on the positive side it does allow the main character another crazy temporary mystic code to abuse!

I was surprised that the real Charles didn't make his official appearance here. Hooded guy is obviously him. He's on the freaking gacha banner! We know he has to be there and little chance that guy isn't him. But I guess with his powers sealed he doesn't feel like it'd help for him to officially appear anyways? That or he'd rather sneak around and be less tied down. Either way he's still not ready to greet his own knights.

Honestly it feels like they rewatched the Solomon movie before making this singularity and said "oh heck yeah". Both in terms of the massive armies of servants and also having Ritsuka basically fighting whole armies by himself! Abusing the heck out of that shadow servant summoning system! At this point while some of the Crypters can easily be said to be superior to him...he's kind of a match 1v1 with some of them!

Also I love how seeing Kiyohime is literally an "oh no" moment for Ritsuka! Hahaha...thank you for the laughs FGO! One of the stalkers has arrived!

No shock that they couldn't exactly hold the line. I mean how far could they really go with such a tiny force? They held the line pretty darn well, but only so much could be done in that situation.

Spoiler for Section 16:

It was a good reveal that Don Quixote was actually from Atlantis. That he'd been summoned along with the other mass of servants to take on that terrible lost belt. They were digging deep to summon that guy... Although considering the stakes of that Lost Belt and what they were up against it makes sense to grab just about any possibly useful heroic spirit. In the end he fled. He wasn't alone of course and others just plain gave up and killed themselves. And besides, Sancho chose to flee. He couldn't even bring himself to choose betrayal so she did all the betraying. He's obviously a good guy though so was hit hard by the realization that Chaldea actually pulled it off. He was wrong and he felt the weight of that. No wonder he took on the actions he did in this singularity. And no wonder it did. When it came to real giants, real gods, real monsters...he ran. It was a human choice to make, but one he couldn't feel proud of.

Of course it is often those normal guys like Mandricardo that are so interesting in stories like this. Don Quixote found his courage, his honor, and stood tall to protect what he believed was precious. More precious than his own life.

Credit to Charlemagne finally showing up! Picked a heck of a time, but he did make it. I'm happy enough for that.

Spoiler for Section 17:

I can't feel too bad for Kostantinos. While I get doing some crazy stuff for a girl you like...he definitely caused a lot of trouble along the way. Fitting he went down the way he did. And honestly kind of deserved. Went down similarly to legend. In a sense Kriemhild really deserves all the credit in the world. She was on her game that whole time. She was focused on exactly what was needed to win the war and bring down one of her biggest rivals. What was Kostantinos doing? He made a nice army and was a solid tactician, but he ignored his biggest threat to go after a minor one. And it left him exposed. At least he did the solid thing in getting Johanna out of there.

You knew Siegfried was somewhere. I figured the odds were good that old man had him captured. There was just no way he wasn't there and if no sign of him had been found to that point...it was a given that he was held at that base. The scary thing is that Moriarty helped free him. If he's doing that then Kriemhild falling is definitely part of his plans. Maybe he wants to swoop in and grab all the grails for himself?

Wasn't all that worried for Kadoc. Though too bad Mash was put in a tricky spot there. At least Moriarty disappeared after they rescued Siegfried.

Spoiler for Section 18/19:

True enough that few are better than Siegfried to defend a forward charge! He may be an early 4* in this game (which isn't great) but in-universe he's a total beast. So I enjoyed seeing him win a beam spam battle here!

Damn, props to Roland. Gave up absolutely everything he could for that miracle. Of course it was worth it to get one step further. But miracles sure ask a lot! At least Astolfo went out with people still knowing he existed! And that was a pretty good effort on his part. It took absolutely everything to bring down that living firing platform. But it worked!

Spoiler for Section 20:

This is a pretty grueling struggle. Honestly it feels like one of the physically more demanding journeys for Ritsuka. Just pushing himself, effectively drugging up to keep going, all for the sake of a rushed assault towards Kriemhild.

Heck even needed Kiyohime (in her lovely black dress) to make a rescue to help them move ahead. And to be fair...she's good at clearing a path!

And of course time for the big showdown between husband and wife. Obviously it's not shocking that Kriemhild ended up here. Not the first person to go on a revenge crusade for a lost loved one. Just ended up cruelly cut down right at the end by the reveal that the person she sought to revenge had accepted their own death for the greater good. That would break someone. And it is fitting that she's a berserker and not an avenger. Because her revenge was...turned into something truly maddening.

Siegfried was great at a lot. But he probably couldn't imagine what would happen after his death. He looked at the bigger picture, but didn't see the smaller one that would make his sacrifice rather meaningless. Good lines on his part. He believed she was so strong that she could rise above even his death. Didn't imagine that it would break her.

I figured Siegfried would pull something after we won the fight. Didn't think it'd be something that utterly awesome and sappy. And truly Kriemhild was channeling her Kaguya-voiced tsundere here "who are you calling middle schoolers!? Middle schoolers can't be married!" I do appreciate the story for spelling out that this isn't a truly serious fight. Just doing a favour for Siegfried by letting him fight by his wife's side.

Also I'm going to say...holy crap. If Mash doesn't make it to this singularity before the end...I'm going to severely question Chalea's tactical abilities! If Mash's armor was that messed up that several days wasn't enough to fix it...then send a different servant to back them up! They had a free spot this whole adventure that they left empty so Mash could not be available to go!

Spoiler for Section 21:

Geeze. "Death of a Detective" is a loaded title! I'm sure Holmes will pull this off somehow. But I expect him to come close to and appear to die before he does...
But geeze it's crazy to think that a mystery started all the way back during the first arc is finally going to be tackled here. I figured along the way that something was messed up with Holmes because of his master. This whole singularity pointed out the huge impact a master's temperament and mindset can have. So if Holmes has made any errors or been unable to see through something it would certainly appear to tie into whomever summoned him in the first place.

Though maybe I was optimistic on the Holmes thing. This game does tend to kill off the supporting cast every now and then. And I suppose with the truth revealed Holmes did what he had to do. Finding out the Foreign God summoned him before all this stuff began...is a tough one to take. But it does put the pieces into place. And Holmes made sure to pull out the reveal regarding Moriarty's invulnerability before the end. I suppose the one interesting question was what exactly the foreign god wanted him to do?

I did enjoy seeing the older Moriarty sticking it to his younger self. Outright mocking his foolishness. He did "win" but along the way he gave away far too much and cost his ultimate objective. A rather native mistake, but one fitting of his youth. And Holmes was right. The younger Moriarty is far too arrogant. He just started blabbering about his plans and confirmed everything Holmes revealed about his powers. And all while not realizing the truth. His existence is tied to Sherlock Holmes. Defeating and killing him is the end of his story. There can be no fate beyond that point. But beyond that he didn't consider all the factors. Like how Kadoc could trip him up.

And finally Mash made it! Geeze they cut it close! But at least she showed up to help punch Moriarty in the face! Ok, and I know that Chaldea can be a bit soft...but they better not actually take the whole "spare me" thing seriously! I swear this reveal better be worth it! At least the game let us deck the guy. It didn't do any good (though I do remember punching Goetia working out pretty well).

Spoiler for Section 22:

And we just end it with aliens!? What kind of finale was that!? We're just going to leave on that until LB7!? Ok then! Weird, but I suppose aliens wouldn't be fans of humanity. A bit of a strange vibe since we had to sort of move on from Holmes's death. Such is how it goes though. At least that mystery is solved and now the focus can shift to the final LB.

2 reruns announced after the Mahoyo event which were the winners of the survey. Summer 6 with Da Vinci Lily Summer first and then the Lilim Harlot event. 6 weeks of reruns. Would have liked the Summer Valks event though since you still can't complete them.
I'll just save my quartz for Anniv. I tried hard for Draco before but I got NP6 of that 4 star that was with her who I can't be bothered to remember the name. And no Alice at all.

Definitely some good news. Since it was looking really bleak on chances to actually summon for Draco. At least now there's the event next year and a re-run a year after to plan around.
