you do know the novel is just an adaptation written by another author right? It's taken curtain liberties with the story that are different from the canon source. I hear its even added new characters, so if that's where u are getting some of your wild ideas it would explain alot. I'd be putting more faith into the manga since its the canon source over someone elses adaptation of the original story.
