Chapter #41
"The Flower & the Firefly"
Mini Synopsis: Nearly the end of the second tier Chunin Selection. Kaori Kasume from Konohagakure, and Fuuko from Kirigakure are randomly to fight.
Mikko accompanies Tita Ametsuba to the medical office to help Hishegami after her recent fight with Kali.
Chapter #42
"Match of the Century!"
Mini Synopsis: Umikira and Hiruko are randomly selected to fight, but Umikira is hesitant to fight so quickly, he says something about wanting to finish what he had started earlier (Tanzou?) and looks across the room.
Chapter #43
"The last of the preliminaries: Who will prevail?"
Mini Synopsis: A couple more random fights, the remaining no-name characters like Makki's team and the Rock Ninjas will compete for a spot.
Chapter #44:
"Out of sight, out of mind"
Mini Synopsis: Mikko seeks out advice from Tita Ametsuba, the rest of the team recovers from the long and grueling selection exams.
Chapter #45:
"A New mission: Rogues from the hidden mist"
Mini Synopsis: While Mikko, and Tanzou are supposed to be training for the final tier, Tita informs them of assailants from another shinobi village who are hiding out somewhere beyond the gate to Kumo. The criminals are listed in the bingo book.
Chapter #46:
"Dangers of the Mist!"
Mini Synopsis: Tita tells Mikko & Tanzou to stay alert and let a Chunin or a Jonin know if they spot the criminals. Mikko decides to go out and find the criminals instead, and fight them, Tanzou agrees to help. Mikko is clearly more excited than Tanzou for the mission, because she expects to get a lot of training out it. The two leave to find the criminals.
Chapter #47:
"Outlaws, Mikko meets Kaiyou & Taiga face-to-face!"
Mini Synopsis: Mikko and Tanzou sneak outside of the Northern Village gates, and sneak past the chunin sentry, and run through the grasslands, to a forested area where the criminals are supposed to be. They find the forest and look around and spot two men; one has brown hair and a clam exterior, while the other has orange hair and a shark-like teeth. Mikko decides to sneak up on them, but she is caught off guard by Kaiyou (brown hair) and Taiga (shark teeth) from behind.
*Note: Even though the hidden mist criminals part isn't directly related to the exams, it has revelence to the story later, and it is all canon and NOT filler
