I haven't seen the other titles (except To Love Ru).
As for To Love Ru, the main guy belongs to the plain category which is:
Good natured
Oblivious to the girls' feelings
Not a pervert, but frequently finding himself in embarrassing/outrageous situations.
Liked by many for his kindness
note: he looks like a kid even though he's the same age and height (in some cases, even taller) compared to his female classmates.
As for This Ugly yet Beautiful World, well, it's from Gainax and you'll never get a simple anime from them. Gainax is the one that made Evangelion, after all.
