Since when they turn into kids, there consciousness gets transferred into the past so even though its the kids self now, its not really the present them, the kids are more of a stand-in. So I guess Taichi is kind of an anchorpoint for everything.

Still, I'm not sure I'm happy with the return of Taichi the White Knight saves that day. I kinda liked it better when the rest of the club actually did something in the last arc and where they showed that Taichi isn't without his problems.
