Aye, agreed. People would hear the buzz of WoW and come flocking to it once, as you put it, the game passes that certain "threshold level". I believe that WoW's selling point that made it so popular was / is that it's advertised as a game with an easy learning curve (can't deny this) and directed at the casual gamer (this may be debatable). Well, I can't foresee WoW dying off any time soon.
