I always have high regard for guys who has guts to steal a forceful kiss. Yes I know it's wrong, but man, I respect the male lead for having balls of steel. That alone made the episode for me.
Pacing? I kinda like it actually. I prefer romance on a faster note, if only because most others just take their goddam time. Just taking for example, this season's Bakuman or heaven forbid typical harem anime like this season's Hayate... not that those aren't enjoyable, just want a change of pace.
So first confession and first kiss in the very first episode? Yeah, I'm in.
