The "Recollections of Valentine's Day" story was a short side story (along with one more) that came with one of the Drama CDs.
Basically,

Recollections of Valentine's Day
The story can be divided into two parts. The first was Kyousuke and Rock moaning about not receiving any Valentine's chocolates and was all "hmph, it's not like we need any!"...until Manami said she made some for them both. Naturally, they accepted the chocolates like the good tsunderes they are.
The second part took place afterwards. Kyousuke was going back home when he came across an ill Ayase kneeling by the road, suffering from a stomachache. Kyousuke naturally was worried, but Ayase, being Ayase, would accept none of his charity (and calling him a pervert and to not come any closer, etc. You all know how she is).
Apparently Ayase had just visited Kirino when she started feeling ill. She said she had already contacted someone to pick her up, and after a few exchange of words, accepted Kyousuke's proposal to allow him to accompany her until then.
Silence ensued, until Ayase handed Kyousuke some chocolate/cookies (I forgot), made by her. Kyousuke was on cloud nine when Ayase dragged him down by saying they were for Kirino. She had given some to Kirino earlier, but was unsure if they were really as good as Kirino said they were. So, she wanted Kyousuke's opinion. They turned out to be very good, much to Ayase's delight.
After seeing Ayase off, Kyousuke returned home to a gloating Kirino (because of Ayase's cookies). Then she revealed that she made some chocolate herself.
"Ayase said they were tasty. You want some, don't you? But you're not having any. Buuuut, if you truly do want some, I could grace you with a few. Oh, I'm sorry, Ayase already ate them all," needled Kirino.
"Then go stuff your face in it," was Kyousuke's answer.
As expected, Kirino responded by throwing one of the chocolates at him.
Kyousuke returned to his room, and despite the rather crude appearance of said chocolate, popped it in his mouth.
Apparently, it was the wrong thing to do. The damn thing tasted like charcoal and Kyousuke ended up writhing in pain, his stomach seemingly on fire. Kirino chose this moment to enter. Kyousuke, under the impression that Kirino had deliberately made such a horrid concoction just to make fun of him (ex. call him a siscon for wanting to try his cute little sister's chocolate), lied that the chocolate was delicious.
Since then, every time Kyousuke hears about Valentine's Day, the memory of the chocolate/charcoal would come back to haunt him.
I forgot where the "House-sitting in a Thunderstorm" short story came from. But this is the gist of it.
Spoiler for House-sitting in a Thunderstorm:
House-sitting in a Thunderstorm
The story took place a month before vol 1. So keep in mind their relationship was strained, and most of the story was more or less reflecting that (with Kyousuke reminiscing that they were close once, yet couldn't for the love of him remember why they grew apart).
The plot, as you probably guessed, was that Kyousuke and Kirino were alone at home during a thunderstorm. Kirino was in the shower when the lights went out. Kyousuke, wet from closing the windows, entered the bathroom to change (erm, I best mention that Japanese bathrooms are separated into two rooms. One for changing, one for bathing). They started talking, with Kyousuke remembering that Kirino had been afraid of lightning and power outages since she was little. He recalled having to comfort his crying sister then. Even now, Kirino was obviously still scared and, even though she would never admit it, but Kyousuke's presence calmed her down. As for Kyousuke, despite the situation, he was also pleased to actually be able to talk to his sister again.
Kyousuke was about to return to his room (after leaving behind a flashlight) when Kirino stopped him.
"Hey...w-wait..." Kirino said in a soft voice.
"Hm?"
"Em...could you sta-" Kirino's voice was cut off by lightning and the lights came back on.
"What was that?" Kyousuke asked.
"N-Nothing! ...I'm coming out now, so leave!"
That's basically how it ended.
There was a certain scene I'd like to mention though. Kyousuke had almost caught Kirino watching her anime in the living room. And during the bathroom scene, he faintly could make out an anime character drawing on one of the shampoo bottles (Meruru). He wasn't aware of Kirino's Otaku side yet, nor did he pay any mind to it.
The last bit of the story happened around a month later (canon-time. Probably around mid vol 1), with the siblings watching Meruru in the living room and with their parents away again. Kyousuke mentioned about remembering that day when he had almost caught Kirino with her secret. Then,
"Oh yeah. I didn't quite catch what you said that time (referring to the bathroom scene)?" Kyousuke asked.
"W-What does it matter any more!" said the tsundere.
Finally, the story ended with Kirino using "Life Counseling" and forcing Kyousuke to start playing Siscalypse. (And that's how he got conned into playing it...)
Hope they're detailed enough.
There are a few other short stories as well.
Two stories came with the DVD/BD box set - "Recollection of the Fallen Angel", written from Kuroneko's POV; and "There's No Way I'd Seek Life Counseling from my Brother", obviously from Kirino's POV. Both stories took place early in the series. Kuroneko's story was before the first meeting with Saori's "All Together, Otaku Girls" net community; and Kirino's was basically chapter 1 of volume 1 written from her POV.
The Valentine's Day one also came with another story too, called "At A Certain Maid Cafe".
Basically,
The last story came with the first PSP game, I think. It's an ending for the game, an epilog if you will, about Kyousuke's life with his wife when he's older. Who you say? ...it never was specified. You can narrow it down to a handful of candidates, but it's also entirely possible that she's not among the OreImo cast.
That's all I think. I can make longer summaries for them if you like.
