Garp won't take damage mid-combos when basic enemies attack. However, bosses like Kizaru or Blackbeard will easily break through your shield and knock Garp flat on his ass if your not careful with your combos.
On a side note, pressing select as Garp causes him to toss his jacket off.... SERIOUS MODE~  |
