The darker parts of humans I prefer to keep at the back of my mind but yes I do get your point.

I haven't watch Berserk or Higurashi yet but with this last scene in School Days felt too out of line. Pushing the envelope indeed.

Mostly I just feel the killings were done poorly. Even after all the underlying explanations possible.

Also the response from the viewers at the killings. It just shows desensitivation at such blatant violence as well.
