Surely now you see the connection, why Sumire reacted to Lucia's pendant and why the berserker Sumire likes Lucia's "smell", my guess is that Sumire is the reincarnation and she now has procession of the ultimate fragment that was once Liliths', Lucia's mother.
IIRC that was 18 years ago flash back, does that mean Lucia is 17 and Sumire is 16?

Thanks for mentioning that. I actually just watched the raw today, and was rather confused on what was happening. Sumire being the reincarnation is interesting, though I really hope she's not like.. the reincarnation of Lucia's mom. Just the new holder of that fragment works fine for me. Anyway, the age thing was also interesting. I noticed it said 18 up in the corner when it did the flashback. I thought it was mentioned in the manga somewhere that Lucia is 15. Maybe I'm mistaken.
