I've got to say that Akane really needs some help on getting a better social circle. Her friend seemed rather disinterested in her heartbreak, the guy that dumped her is a legitimate jerk, and all she's got right now is Yamada who isn't super interested in the lives of those around him either. Not a whole lot going well for her

I mean wow. The scene of her trying to bribe Yamada to pretend to be her boyfriend was all kinds of amazing.
Honestly though this was a solid first episode. Really picked up nicely as it went along. And while Yamada doesn't have any real interest in romance, he's not completely heartless. Both with the band aids and not just leaving Akane be when she passed out drunk.
Still, I guess you can say he'll be paying a long-term price for taking that bribe
. Could be a nice mix of getting her more into games and her getting some emotional reactions out of him. Balance each other out a bit.
