I think the negativity stems from the opinion that she's not the right girl for Shin, rather than any overwhelming character flaw. She makes her share of mistakes and can be rather difficult at times, but much of it is due to her situation.
If placed in a better situation she would probably be OK. That's the reason I'm still rooting for Jun, who represents a fresh start from all the emotional baggage she's carrying around.
