I expected this to being a kind of Saki + Ro-kyu-Bu (with similar proportion of sport/fanservice) + Shogi Story? (Shion no Ou? I don't know another story about Shogi but this manga, and was awesome. I haven't seen the anime, in fact I recently find out that it had anime). Only the time will tell. I will stick for a while.
