Yeah, it's a shame, isn't it? I can think of a few shows where the budget for a single episode was probably the same as Shinsekai yori had for 2-3 eps at least... :/ So unfair. Then again, this is business and it was obvious from the get-go that SSY wasn't going to break any ratings or sales records.
(And so while
some people may disagree I think we should be grateful to TV Asahi that they decided to put money in this...)
But I agree that they're doing the best they can with the budget (even with the occasional off-model characters...
I really hope they'll fix those for the BD/DVD release).
