Wow, I'm so glad you asked because here I am to gush about the ending song "Life is like a Boat" I have the single and it's not like an ending song at all, a very nice piano ballad that's not sweeping or sad or anything, but very..."pure" I guess you could say.

Rie Fu , who is one of my favorite new singers. She's lives in England and Japan (+), speaks Japanese and English (++!), has a great voice- not to screechy or grating, but not really low and gravelly either.
I'm going to watch the first Bleach episode just to hear the ending song, and I'll give the anime a chance too. (Although it seems much closer to the Inuyasha/Naruto end of the anime scale than to the, oh say, Paranoia Agent or Last Exile end of the scale.) Boy, that comment sounded stupid :P
