Livin on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

Post 2K it kinda embarrassing to admit you enjoyed Bon Jovi . As the band is a sell out now and a sharp contrast to there earlier roots. Now B.Jovi is just another Pop Rock band . But the earlier Jovi was far different from what it used to be , they used to be hard once upon time . The song thats stuck in my head belongs to that era the Slippery When Wet Era . In that album I have two favorite tracks one is Living on a Prayer and another is Wanted Dead or Alive .

The song that on my lips and in my head is Livin on Prayer . I absolutely love the start of the track esp Richie on the Talkbox going Whoa Whoa Whoa . .. . The chemistry and combination of soft lyrics with raw energy is quite beautiful . Also the wire antics in video are quite funny . This ones from the days Bon Jovi were at there definitive best : O

Once upon a time Not so long ago

Tommy used to work on the docks Unions been on strike
Hes down on his luck...its tough, so tough
Gina works the diner all day .Working for her man, she brings home her pay
For love - for love

She says we've got to hold on to what we've got cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not We've got each other and thats a lot
For love - well give it a shot

Whooah, were half way there
Livin on a prayer
Take my hand and well make it - I swear
Livin on a prayer

Tommy's got his six string in hock . Now hes holding in what he used
To make it talk - so tough, its tough .Gina dreams of running away
When she cries in the night . Tommy whispers baby its okay, someday

We've got to hold on to what we've got. Cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not . We've got each other and thats a lot
For love - well give it a shot

We've got to hold on ready or not
You live for the fight when its all that you've got
