^ What’s War Machine’s role in this movie? In the trailer, I saw him breaking through what seems like a middle eastern house. Is that one of the terrorist’s place?

Unlike Tony, War Machine doesn't do any investigations. He just gets sent to where the Intel guys say Mandarin could be. After a few false leads he got caught unawares and captured by a female Extremis soldier disguised with a Burqa.

The Iron Patriot suit was then used to kidnap the POTUS. And finally it was used as the execution suit for the POTUS as he was chained up and prepared to be roast alive on TV. The idea being the POTUS is trapped in the suit because it can't move with an uncalibrated user. All this to make the execution more dramatic.

Rhodes hated both the new name and the colour. It was just something the Government PR department came up with, and he had to stick with it. I expect he would go back to be War Machine in future films.
