New Satoru's intelligence is clearly above average, he is not exactly the most gentle person around (the only less gentle characters in the story are Keiko and Lin), he doesn't show any liking of snow, has no problems with being in a psychiatric hospital, did not fear any of the medical stuff inside SPHIA, shows no dislike of himself, has a clear single personality, and, well, appears throughout the entire story.
It is very possible that what you described was what Satoru was trying to do. But if he was, he definitely didn't succeed.
