And you're right. This is why theme naming doesn't always have to be literal.
Shen Long refer to it's wind-pressure cannon ('weather manipulation'), BT refer to it's Tear-shaped BITs, Akatsubaki, Byakushiki, and Schwarzer series refer to their color, oddly enough, Silver Gospel probably referring to Archangel Gabriel ('Messenger of the God')
